Ganesh, the techno and trance scene’s rising star, was born and raised in southern California with a love for music that began at an early age. Growing up listening to Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, and Depeche Mode, he was exposed to a wide range of genres that would influence his music in later years.
After discovering electronic dance music, Ganesh became enamored with its high-energy beats and immersive, otherworldly soundscapes. He began attending underground raves and warehouse parties, where he fell in love with the sense of community and shared experience that characterized the early LA dance scene.
In the mid-1990s, Ganesh started DJing at local clubs and parties, honing his skills and developing his own unique style. He drew inspiration from pioneering Trance and Techno DJs like Commander Tom, Baby Doc, and Paul Oakenfold, and the emerging Trance and Techno scenes in Europe and Hard House sounds of the UK.
Ganesh’s reputation grew as he played bigger shows, eventually becoming a resident DJ at the world-famous Dreamstate franchise tied to Insomniac Events. He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the Trance scene, including Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, and Above & Beyond.
Aside from his work as a DJ and producer, Ganesh is a passionate advocate for the LA dance scene and the broader EDM community. He founded the Santa Barbara club night “Digital” to showcase the harder side of dance and hone his skills and style.
In 2021, Ganesh teamed up with fellow LA dance scene veteran RJ Van Xetten to form the Techno/Trance powerhouse duo, GVX. Their debut release “Dime Dropper” on HQ Noir (HQN) received immense support and was even remixed by the legendary T78.
Ganesh is also the owner and founder of the Tech-Trance record label HQ Recordings, its Techno sub-label HQ Noir (HQN), and uplift sub-label HQ Ascension. These platforms allow him to fully express his unique vision for the convergence of Trance, Techno, and Progressive.
Ganesh’s signature style blends emotional and dramatic melodies with deep, resonating rhythms, creating an unforgettable and immersive experience for his fans. His current sound continues to evolve and captivate audiences worldwide.
